ATTENTION

As we monitor the situation and get feedback from grounds, we can look at making steady progress to resume some League events during 2020. Miles and I have given some considerable thought to our remaining events on our shooting calendar and have come to the decision as laid out below.

The LCSL scored competitions will be cancelled this year.

We intend to run the events later in the year and will keep you all informed as when and where, but these will be for fun and coaching as soon as we are able to run them in a proper and safe manner.

In the meantime many grounds are now opening for practice with a pre book system in place to keep you all safe and sanitisers around the ground, so go out and have fun and support your ground.

About the League

This year we will be running a league table for ladies shooting as both individual and team members. In 2020 there will be eight league events running from March to October and all will be shot on a Saturday.

The Events will be held at :

Catton Hall Outdoor Experience Venue

Mickley Hall Shooting School

North Wales Shooting School

Holmes Chapel Shooting Ground

Fauxdegla Premier Shooting Ground

Doveridge Clay Sports Club

Oakedge Shooting Ground

Manchester Clay Shooting Club

The format will be a 75 bird shoot (ESP) open to ladies from all counties. There will be eight English Sporting (ESP) league events.

Three extra events will be Skeet (ESK) and Down the Line/Trap (DTL) and the Festival of Ladies Shooting.

The League is designed for women who want that bit more out of their shooting and would like an introduction to a competitive and informative environment. The events will be run in a helpful, friendly atmosphere where you can experience all aspects of competitive shooting. Scoring will be done within the event squads and assisted by Cheshire CPSA volunteers where possible.

As an individual, you will be classified (A, B or C shooter) this will be determined at each event, you must shoot four of the eight events to qualify for the end of season awards. Upon registration you can nominate your chosen ground team that you wish to shoot for. The best four scores per team members will count for the Top Team award at each event.

Guest Appearances

We have lined up through the year top lady shooters to give you demos and hopefully answer any questions you may have.  We are incredibly lucky to have this opportunity and we hope that you will be able to take advantage of these sessions.

The Individual awards

There will be a Presentation of awards at the end of the season, as a team you will shoot for the team trophy , the trophy every ground wants in their cabinet!  There will also be a presentation for individual Awards, and we will release more details as the League goes through the year.

At each event we will reward the Top Team, and Overall High Gun. The classified High Gun, 2nd and 3rd place shooters will receive awards at the following event.

To be in with a chance of winning the Individual League, you need to complete a minimum of four events.
